There are no words to describe Austin City Limits. I can still remember the day Grace posted on the MSC FISH Facebook page about a group potentially attending. I was sitting in summer school listening to a dull lecture on micro-economics. In the midst of class, I bought my ticket on my iPhone. I wiped the debit card out on the desk and everything. That was almost 5 months ago and I can hardly believe it. At this point, I had no idea what ACL was or why tickets cost so much money. However, I decided that I loved every person that was going, so why not? Look at me being all spontaneous (or at least trying to be). With all of that said, Austin City Limits was hosted on Sunday, October 14th. We drove to Austin Sunday morning because we had prior commitments for FISH on Saturday night. As soon as we arrived to ATX, Grace’s mom cooked us a full breakfast—complete with tacos, fruit, and much more. The entire day spent at this world-known festival was a complete culture shock. It was unbelievable and indescribable. We saw multiple bands perform throughout the day such as NeedToBreathe, the Avett Brothers, the Civil Wars, Randy Rogers Band, Childish, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and so many more. We would walk from stage to stage to see each of them perform. There were people everywhere. When I say everywhere… I mean EVERYWHERE. We took lots of pictures and created so many great memories. People watching was one of my favorite parts. People from Austin are defintiely a different breed... I could share so many wild stories. Waiting for Childish to perform alongside every current Westlake HS student was anything but enjoyable. However, looking back it makes me laugh a lot. Pushin' and shovin' - moshin' and grindin'. My day at ACL has been by far my favorite day of this semester. It was a blast to be surrounded by great people listening to great music in such a great city. Hopefully, I will attend ACL for many years to come. After the night was over, we trekked back with mud-covered feet and Grace’s mom picked us up. She had grilled chicken, homemade salsa, and chocolate chip cookies waiting for us at her house. Susan is the best and I can't say thank you enough. We ate dinner and then stayed at Grace's house that night. The following morning was Monday, which means school and lots of it. We drove back for classes—and I arrived back in time to take two tests. This whole experience was “so college” and I wouldn’t take it back for a second. Here's to ACL and great friendships.

FISH & Fountains!
I haven't posted in almost a month. Wait.... Whatttt? I used to blog in my "free time," but I am not too sure what that term means anymore. Here are a few pictures from our MSC FISH Retreat from September and pictures from the PC '12 fountain hopping mixer on campus. As classes progressively become harder, blogging life becomes less of a priority. Here's to plenty more nights with the freshmen in FISH and crossing off "fountain-hopping" from my bucket list!
