My first Halloween in College Station was simply unforgettable. I dressed up as five different costumes within the span of three days; a dinosaur, a bumble bee, Raggedy Ann doll, a dark angel, and a school teacher. Let me recap the weekend for you…Thursday night, I went trick or treating for canned goods with my friends in MSC Fish. I was dressed up as a bumble bee and it was rather chilly outside. The weather wasn’t ideal as we walked from house to house, but it was all for a good cause. After volunteering, I had a quick costume change into my Raggedy Ann outfit. I wore this outfit in 8th grade and decided to bring it back this year. I had the dress and the stockings on as I walked through the commons lobby; however, no one knew what I was dressed up as. I asked three boys if I looked like Raggedy Ann and as one turned around to say I looked better than Raggedy Ann; he ran into a copy machine and fell on the floor. I thought things like that only happened in movies… it was hilarious. Another guy stopped me in the commons and told me I needed to borrow his wig for the night… little did I know it would make my entire costume so much better. I hung out with one of my Tri-Delt girlfriends, Whitney Richmond, and we went dancing at Daisy Duke’s! It was a ton of fun to see everyone else’s costumes on Northgate and it a great start to the weekend. On Friday, MSC Fish hosted the “Blair Fish Project.” It was our Halloween social with all members and staff, and I had a blast dressed up as a dark angel. I have fallen in love with this organization and all of the people I’ve met so far! Between my school, my FOF, and my powder-puff friends… it’s amazing. Afterwards, the freshmen in FISH kept the Halloween spirit alive and continued to hang out at the Callaway Villas! I hopped from all of my FISH activities to Midnight Yell with my Tri-Delt girlfriends and the corps boys. This weekend was Delta Delta Delta’s “Football Buddies” experiment with the guys in Quadrant 17. A huge group of us pulled with the core and they matched us up with a date. In order to meet our dates before the game, a few of us attended Midnight Yell with them. On Saturday, I sat two rows from the field to watch the Aggie play Missouri. It was unbelievable and an experience of a lifetime. Our amazing seats BTHO sitting on the third deck. And not to mention…. I MADE IT ON THE MEGRATRON! Not only was it the best part of the moring, but it was also the best moment of my entire life. I had people texting me saying that they saw me and let’s face it, I felt like a total celebrity for two seconds. Even though we lost in overtime, it was a great game to watch alongside our corps dates. I spent the afternoon in the beautiful weather outside with Madeline Corley, Madelyn Wilson, and Alex Legan. We acted like complete idiots rolling down hills, lying in the grass, jamming to Justin Bieber, and taking lots of future “blackmail material” pictures. It was such a spontaneous afternoon and I am so thankful for each one of those girls. Saturday night, I dressed up as a school teacher and this was definitely my riskiest costume choice for the weekend. I finally hung out with my best friend in the whole world, Katy Lowery, and her roommate, Crysta Sheridan. We hopped to couple Halloween events with some of our other friends from high school and it was great to see everyone in their costumes! Halloween weekend was filled with craziness and lots of fun in this college town. October 31st hasn’t actually passed yet, but I am definitely “halloweened” out. I attempted to balance my weekend between my friends in FISH, my sisters in Tri-Delt, and my besties from High School, and I had an unforgettable time with all of them. There seems to always be something exciting going on in my life at A&M, but this weekend had a million great things jammed into a couple days. Happy Halloween Everyone!!!
